Abstract
The amphiphilic porphyrins 5, 10-bis (N-alkylpyridinium-4-yl)-15,20-di phenylporphyrins aggregate in binary solvent systems. The incorporatio n of amphiphilic porphyrins is monomeric at lower porphyrin to surfact ant molar ratio and aggregate at higher molar ratio. The diameters of empty and porphyrin incorporated vesicles are measured by Transmission Electron Micrography and Quasi Laser Light Scattering method. Locatio n of porphyrins into DDAB vasicles were estimated by UV-visible and fl uorescence spectroscopy.
