Abstract
Some new 3-heteroaryl-quinazolin-4-one (IV-XVIII) have been synthesize d via interaction of -amino/3-aminoethyl-2-ethyl-6-iodoquinazolin-4-on e (II,III) with different ore-compounds. Structure of the products has been established by elemental analysis and spectral data (IR, H-1 NMR and Mass). Significant antimicrobial activities were observed for som e members of the series.
