Collections of 669 specimens of the ''common green lacewing'' (Chrysop
erla Steinmann) were made in 17 locations in Rumania. The specimens ha
ving a quadrangular basal dilatation of tarsal claw belong to Chrysope
rla carnea (Stephens) s. str., Chrysoperla kolthoffi (Navas) and Chrys
operla lucasina (Lacroix). Their proportions were found different : th
e dominant species was Ch. kolthoffi with 61 % of the total number. Th
e only species having a triangular basal dilatation of tarsal claw was
assignated to Chrysoperla renoni (Lacroix). This green lacewing is ne
w to the Rumanian fauna. A map of the collection places is given, and
also a table of the non-genitalic characters of the seven species of C
hrysoperla occurring in Europe.
