H. Bachau, INVESTIGATION OF THE PROPERTIES OF (3,3,3)TRIPLY EXCITED-STATES OF MULTICHARGED IONS, Journal of physics. B, Atomic molecular and optical physics, 29(19), 1996, pp. 4365-4379
We study N4+(3, 3, 3) S-2(e,0) triply excited states. Two theoretical
approaches are developed, a space partition approach and a stabilizati
on procedure. Both procedures take advantage of an L(2) discretization
of the spectrum which stems from the use of B-splines to build electr
onic orbitals. The pertinence of the methods is analysed in view of th
eir application to the case of multicharged ions, emphasis is put on t
he role of the correlations. The resonance positions and widths are gi
ven, these parameters are compared with other calculations. We also ca
lculate the resonance parameters of the isoelectronic series (Z = 7 --
> 20).
