Abstract
A novel, stereospecific synthesis of 1,2-trans-disubstituted cycloprop anes is described, based upon the palladium (0) mediated cross-couplin g of cyclopropyl boronic esters with aryl halides. This work forms the basis of a proposed new asymmetric synthesis of cyclopropanes.
