Abstract
The utility of mass spectrometry for the analysis of biological molecu les has been enhanced by the development of two techniques that genera te gas-phase ions via nondestructive vaporization and ionization. Thes e techniques can be used not only to determine the primary structure o f biological molecules with unprecedented accuracy, but also to map no ncovalent biomolecular interactions.
