Abstract
The phase diagram was determined for the entire composition range of t he system Pb(Yb1/2Nb1/2)O-3-PbZrO3. Despite the fact that both end mem bers Pb(Yb1/2Nb1/2)O-3 and PbZrO3 are antiferroelectric, a ferroelectr ic phase appeared for a narrow composition range, and its nature was b riefly discussed. The phase diagram was found to consist of the three phases, paraelectric (PE) cubic, ferroelectric (FE) tetragonal and ant iferroelectric (AFE) orthorhombic. An insoluble region was also found to exist.
