ASYMMETRIC DESYMMETRIZATION OF SYMMETRICA L COMPOUNDS - ASYMMETRIC RING-OPENING REACTIONS BY CHIRAL CATALYST

The asymmetric ring opening reactions with chiral catalyst were review ed and the study of asymmetric ring opening reaction of 1,2-(N-acylimi no) cyclohexanes (N-acylaziridines) with some aryl thiols in the prese nce of chiral zinc complexes was explained, The catalyst prepared from diethylzinc and dialkyl L-(+)-tartrate afforded trans 2-(N-acylamino) -1-arylthiocyclohexane in up to 93% ee, The chemical structure of dial kyl L-(+)-tartrate-zinc complex is discussed on their H-1 NMR spectra and molecular weight.
