Abstract
Microwave magnetoabsorption measurements were performed for single cry stals of ErBa2Cu3Oy and HoBa2Cu3Oy in a temperature range from 3 to 80 K. Microwave magnetoabsorptions due to superconductivity were observe d, and the principal values of the lower critical field were determine d as 140 or 150 +/- 10 Oe and 430 +/- 10 Oe at 5 K for the ab-plane an d the c-axis, respectively. Their temperature variations were investig ated. Further, ESR signals of Er2BaCuO5 and Ho2BaCuO5 were observed, a nd their superparamagnetic properties were investigated.
