Abstract
The gray-scale response of spatial light modulators based on perpendic ular-held photorefractive multiple quantum wells is studied. It is sho wn that the gray scale exhibits both linear and saturated regimes that are accessible by variation of the applied field and the gate time. ( C) 1996 Optical Society of America.
