Abstract
We show that a chaotic pulsation in the passive Q-switched CO2 laser s ystem can be made to synchronize to its prerecorded history. A signal based only on the prerecorded history is used to modulate the saturabl e absorber instead of the actual difference between the prerecorded si gnal and the current signal. Numerical calculation shows that the sync hronization also occurs even if the modulation signal is modified to b e the on-off signal.
