It is shown that the amplitude of the D-q(+) --> D(q)(+)gamma decay i
s of order O(m(0q)/M(c)), where m(0q) and M(c) are the masses of curre
nt q- and c-quarks, respectively, such as q = d or s. The computation
of the decay amplitudes is performed within heavy quark effective theo
ry (HQET) and chiral perturbation theory at the quark level (CHPT)(q),
based on the extended Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with linear realizatio
n of chiral U(3) x U(3) symmetry. The total width of the D-s(+)-meson
is predicted: Gamma(D-s(+) --> all) similar or equal to 8 eV.
