We use QCD sum rules, together with two numerical algorithms, for pred
icting masses of first excited states and partial decay widths of grou
nd states in various channels of charmonium. The method, which has alr
eady been applied to the pseudoscalar channel, is now extended to the
P-1(1) channel. We predict the mass oi the first excited slate, m(h'c)
similar or equal to 4.355 GeV; moreover we fix bounds on the partial
decay width of the h(c)-resonance into light hadrons.
