S. Kotz, APPLICATION OF PROBABILITY-GENERATING FUNCTIONS IN EVALUATION OF SOMEISOTOPOMER DISTRIBUTIONS, American journal of physiology: endocrinology and metabolism, 34(4), 1996, pp. 773-774
A method for calculating probability functions and moments of a distri
bution of isotopomers, constructed by Kelleher and Masterson (2), is d
escribed. The method involves the use of the so-called probability-gen
erating functions, a mathematical device especially convenient for the
purpose of calculation of probabilistic quantities in discrete models
of the Kelleher-Masterson type.
