Abstract
The conductivities of oxalic, malonic, succinic, glutaric and adipic a cids have been measured in water and water+acetone (X(acetone)=0.016, 0.033, 0.072, 0.117 and 0.171) mixtures at 288.15, 298.15, 308.15 and 318.15 K in varying ranges of concentration. The limiting molar conduc tance (Lambda(0)) and association constant (K-A) for these acids in wa ter+acetone mixtures are evaluated using Shedlovsky and Fuoss-Kraus te chniques. The results have been discussed in terms of ion-ion and ion- solvent interactions in these solvents.
