P. Bigey et al., PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION BY ELECTROSPRAY MASS-SPECTROMETRY OFCATIONIC METALLOPORPHYRIN DNA CLEAVERS, Bulletin de la Societe chimique de France, 133(7-8), 1996, pp. 679-689
Cationic metalloporphyrin derivatives endowed with nuclease activity h
ave been prepared and characterized by electrospray mass spectrometry.
These metalloporphyrin precursors have various functionalized tethers
and are excellent DNA cleavers to be linked to an oligonucleotide or
a minor groove binder like Hoechst 33258, a bis-benzimidazole DNA dye.
