The synthesis and characterization of new dodecaarylporphyrin derivati
ves as well as their manganese(III) complexes are described. A study o
f the catalytic ability of these sterically hindered porphyrins in oxi
dation reactions by ozone is reported and preliminary results on epoxi
dation reaction of stilbene are described.
