Abstract
The structures of ten related oxypregnane-oligoglycosides stephanoside s A (1), B (2), C (3), D (4), E (5), F (6), G (7), H (8), I (9), and J (10) from the fresh stem of Stephanotis lutchuensis var. japonica (As clepiadaceae) were elucidated on the basis of a detailed study of thei r high-field H-1- and C-13-NMR spectra. All the sugars are beta (1-->4 )-linked and the aglycones are 12, 20 bis-O-acyl or 12-O-acyl derivati ves of sarcostin.
