The fields it involves include: (1) pathophysiology of surgical t rauma; (2) instrumental technique; (3) medical - industrial interactio n; (4) laparoscopic diagnostic procedures; (5) intraoperative endoscop y; (6) patients' comfort; (7) quality control; (8) changing hierarchy; (9) loss of surgical dogmas and (10) globalisation.
