T. Spies et al., INTERVENTIONAL ENDOSCOPY USING ARGON PLAS MA COAGULATION - EXPERIENCES IN GENERAL-SURGERY, Langenbecks Archiv fur Chirurgie, 1996, pp. 537-539
The results of the application of argon plasma coagulation (APC) in su
rgical endoscopy on tumorous stenosis of the esophagus and trachea, an
giodysplasia and gastrointenstinal bleeding are presented here. Primar
y therapeutic goals were always achieved and complications were harmle
ss except one loss after duodenal perforation. We conclude that APC is
a useful and easily handled tool in the careful hands of an experienc
ed endoscopist.
