Abstract
The complex [Zn(L)(C5H5N)(2)]. 2H(2)O(L = 3-methoxysalicylidene-L-vali ne) was synthesized. The complex crystalizes in an orthorhombic system , space group is P2(1)2(1)2(1),cell parameters: a = 0.9345(2), b = 2.6 620(5), c = 0.9748(4) nm, V = 2.425(2) nm(3), M(r) = 508.87, Z = 4, wi th R = 0.074, R(w) = 0.076. The kinetics of thermal decomposition reac tion of the complex was studied under a non - isothermal condition by TG. The kinetic parameters were obtained from the analysis of TG, DTG curves by integral and differential methods. The kinetic equation of t hermal decomposition reaction is: d alpha/dt = A . e(-E/RT).(1 - alpha )
