Abstract
A method for simultaneously obtaining brilliant G-banding and chromoso me painting is described, It is based on a modification of methods ena bling the detection of incorporated BrdU by anti-BrdU antibodies conju gated to a fluorochrome, It induces a banding of both painted and non- painted chromosomes. The method was adapted for in situ hybridizations on human and non human (ZOO-FISH) chromosomes.
