Abstract
H-1, C-13 and Sn-119 CIDNP studies of 2-methylpropanoyltripropylstanna ne Pr3SnC(O)Pr(1)1 photolysis in benzene have shown that its photodeco mposition occurs from the triplet excited state via Sn-C (tin-carbonyl ) bond cleavage. Formation of Pr3Sn., (.)COCHMe, and (.)CHMe(2) free r adicals has been observed. Possibilities of their reactions with initi al ketone and main reaction products have been discussed.
