Abstract
The analytical model of motion of Jupiter's fifth satellite Amalthea i s constructed by the Lie-Hori perturbation method. The effects include d are: Jupiter's nonisotropic potential, the action of the Galilean sa tellites and of the Sun, and the motion of the reference frame. The pr eliminary values of the orbital constants of the theory are determined by the adjustment to the Jacobson's ephemeris of Amalthea. The compar ison with a numerical integration indicates the accuracy of the analyt ical model on the level of 100 m during 50 years.
