The recording of holographic gratings by 3 ns pulses of a 1.06 mu m Nd
3+:YAG laser in tin hypothio-diphosphate Sn2P2S6 samples is reported.
It is shown that the grating develops after irradiation during approxi
mately 0.2 ms and then decays within a few milliseconds.
