Abstract
Immunolocalization indicates that the largest part of the P-glycerate kinase and sedoheptulose bisphosphatase in the pea (Pisum sativum L.) chloroplast, about half of the glyceraldehyde-3-P dehydrogenase and P- ribulokinase, and a smaller fraction of the triose-P isomerase, aldola se, and carbonic anhydrase are thylakoid-bound. There are probably met abolic advantages to be gained from this distribution. Rubisco and Rub isco activase appear to be restricted to the stroma.
