ETIOLOGIC AND GENETIC-FACTORS IN CONGENITAL DIAPHRAGMATIC-HERNIA

The etiology of congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) remains largely unknown. Isolated forms, familial cases, and a variety of associated c hromosomal anomalies have been described. CDH may also occur as part o f a syndrome. The high incidence of reported, associated major congeni tal anomalies may provide insight and guide researchers toward the eti ology of CDH.
