MODIFIED BALANCE-EQUATIONS TO ASSESS THE PARAMETERS AFFECTING STEAM CONSUMPTION AND NUMBER OF BODIES IN A MULTIPLE-EFFECT EVAPORATOR STATION

Conventional equations to calculate the required evaporation and steam consumption of multiple-effect evaporator stations are transformed to provide a clearly arranged description of measures to reduce steam co nsumption and the number of bodies. This offers better possibilities o f evaluating relationships between important parameters in the design of sugar factory evaporator stations.
