A. Andryakov et al., THE KLOE DRIFT CHAMBER, Nuclear instruments & methods in physics research. Section A, Accelerators, spectrometers, detectors and associated equipment, 379(3), 1996, pp. 414-416
The stringent requirements of the KLOE experiment on dimensions, effic
iency, resolution and transparency of its drift chamber led to buildin
g a tracking device which can be considered innovative from many point
s of view. Details of the design and construction of this detector, to
gether with preliminary results from the test of its full scale protot
ype, constructed and operated under a test beam at CERN, are presented
and discussed.
