Abstract
Technological aspects of the industrial hydropyrolysis process have be en presented. Several precious chemical raw materials and highly react ive ecological source of energy were obtained by hydropyrolysis of coa l of higher sulfur content. Direct combustion of carbonisate from the process in power plant allows to produce electrical energy with yield reaching 43% while limiting the sulfur dioxide emission by 90%, if com pared to conventional process of coal combustion. Hydrorefining of oil (obtained by non-catalytic hydrogenation of coal) carried out with th e custom made catalyst removed up to 85% of nitrogen. Development of s uch catalysts is an important part of complex utilization of coal.
