Abstract
The inheritance of salt tolerance in F-1 and F-2 hybrid barley plants was studied. Segregation analysis was based on estimation of salt tole rance in F-2 progeny of single crosses and F-1 progeny of backcrosses. Three genes for salt tolerance with intermediate inheritance and addi tive interaction were found. The maternal effect in inheritance of sal t tolerance was shown. Gene activity did not change with plant age.
