(T)he authors present experimental data on luminol-dependent neutrophi
l chemiluminescense of blood from patients with drug intolerance. A de
crease in intensity of neutrophil and whole blood chemiluminescense wa
s registered in the presence of intolerated drugs. In acute phase of g
eneralized intolerance reaction the chemiluminescense test showed read
iness of the blood cells to react inadequately to the contact with dif
ferent drugs leading to variations in generation of active oxygen form
s. Improvement in patients' condition was followed by narrowing spectr
um of drugs causing a decrease in the intensity of chemiluminescense.
Later, the chemiluminescense ratio remained low in testing only those
drugs causing intolerance reaction.
