Abstract
An investigation was made of frequency conversion, in xenon, of contin uously tunable picosecond UV radiation to the third harmonic. The cond itions for optimal tuning in the range 113.5-117.0 nm were determined. The maximum conversion efficiency in an Xe-Ar mixture was 8 . 10(-4).
