A theory of a modulation light converter is developed. It is shown tha
t the oscillation regimes can be multistable and are governed by one (
excitation) parameter. A calculation is reported of the critical value
s of the excitation parameter corresponding to the thresholds of the a
ppearance of various branches of steady-state regimes, of amplitude pu
lsations, and of dynamic chaos. The frequency of steady-state radiatio
n is determined.
