The individual and synergic effects of vibration and rotation on mass
transfer for spheres were experimentally obtained. The limiting curren
t data were measured at the surface of the sphere using an electrochem
ical method. The investigations covered the following variables: ampli
tude of vibration, frequency of vibration, rotational speed and diamet
er of the sphere. The limiting current data were found to increase wit
h an increase in frequency, amplitude and rotational speed. The mass t
ransfer data were correlated in terms of dimensionless groups. Copyrig
