Abstract
The individual and synergic effects of vibration and rotation on mass transfer for spheres were experimentally obtained. The limiting curren t data were measured at the surface of the sphere using an electrochem ical method. The investigations covered the following variables: ampli tude of vibration, frequency of vibration, rotational speed and diamet er of the sphere. The limiting current data were found to increase wit h an increase in frequency, amplitude and rotational speed. The mass t ransfer data were correlated in terms of dimensionless groups.
