Abstract
The paper analyses asynchronized and asynchronous turbogenerators (AST G and ATG) used jointly with conventional synchronous generators in co mbined-cycle power plants. It is shown that the use of ASTG for steam/ gas and gas turbine installations is worthwhile from the point of view of an increase in stability and control function efficiency, and also for voltage normalization in the power system, ASTG utilization may a lso be worthwhile for small- and medium-power CCGT and GT installation s.
