Abstract
The influence of emergency power disturbances on the stability of an e lectrical power system of longitudinal structure is examined. Variatio ns in the location of the disturbance, settings of the excitation regu lators of the generators and parameters and operating conditions of th e network are considered. The results of the analysis are compared wit h experiments on an electrodynamic moder of an electrical power system and show good agreement. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
