Abstract
Two trinuclear gold-thallium-gold complexes, {Au(C6F5)(3)(PPH(2)CH(2)P Ph(2)CH(2)PPh(2)(O))}(2)} (X = C6F5, Cl), have been synthesised by rea ction of [Au(C6F5)(3)(PPh(2)(O))] with [Tl(C6F5)(2)Cl] or [Tl(C6F5)(3) (diox)], in which the phosphine oxide moiety coordinates to thallium; the crystal structure of the former product has been established by X- ray diffraction.
