By using a conventional bomb calorimeter and a technique of burning pu
re C-60 on a gram-scale in a mini-crucible, the standard massic energy
of combustion of C-60 was determined: Delta(c)u degrees = - (36036.06
+/- 6.04) J . g(-1). The corresponding thermodynamic functions at T =
298.15 K were derived for C-60: Delta(c)H(m) degrees(cr)= - (25970.07
+/- 9.67) kJ . mol(-1), Delta(f)H(m) degrees(cr) = (2359.47 +/- 9.72)
kJ . mol(-1), and Delta(f)H(m) degrees(g) = (2588 +/- 12) kJ . mol(-1
). These results were compared with experimental values in the literat
