Abstract
Enthalpies of dissolution of C-60 and C-70 in o-xylene, toluene, and C S2 have been measured by a Calvet MS-80 microcalorimeter at temperatur es from 293.15 K to 313.15 K. It was observed that the dissolution of C-60 in the three organic solvents in the above range of temperatures was exothermic, while the dissolution of C-70 in the same three solven ts was endothermic. The enthalpy of dissolution of C-70 showed a minim um at 308.15 K. The experimental results were discussed. (C) 1996 Acad emic Press Limited
