Abstract
An optical frequency synthesizer was developed at 1.5-mu m wavelength region by utilizing a diode laser whose frequency was locked to an abs orption line (P-branch, J = 23) of acetylene, a frequency tunable lase r, and a waveguide-type optical frequency comb generator, This synthes izer has the frequency tunable range of 1.3 THz around 154-mu m wavele ngth and absolute frequency stability of sigma = 4.5 x 10(-10) at 1 s integration time.
