Abstract
Two new compounds 4-methylheptatriacont-1-en-10-ol (1) and tetracontan ol-2 (2) have been isolated along with beta-sitosterol from the shoots of Achyranthes aspera Linn. and their structures have been elucidated by spectral data and chemical studies.
