Abstract
Eastern white pine (Pinus strobus L.) is one of the most important tim ber trees in Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada. Provenance and/or genetic variation studies of this species have been underway s ince 1959 (Garrett et al. 1973; Demeritt and Kettlewood 1976, Funk et al. 1975; Thor 1975; Kriebel et al. 1974).
