Abstract
The use of a time-temperature signal present in a simultaneous TG-DTA analyser is described. The melting behaviours, on the DTA signal, of i ndium, aluminium and zinc are reported as the basis to illustrate the performance of the equipment for acquisition of relevant data. This on ly requires the signal from the sample thermocouple to be recorded. By noting the perturbation of the time - temperature signal from the pro jected baseline, a curve similar to the conventional DTA curve can be obtained.
