Abstract
Accelerated sulfur vulcanization of Standard Malaysian Rubber in the p resence of o-bis(2,3-epoxypropyl-4-cyano-4-methyl-butylether) gives lo w epoxidized vulcanizates having improved oil and thermo-oxidative age ing resistances. Practically no changes in their room-temperature resi lience have been found. The best results have been obtained in the cas es of vulcanizates corresponding to 1 and 2 mole% epoxidation.
