Abstract
An acetone extract of the aerial parts of Scutellaria baicalensis prov ided a new neo-clerodane, scutebaicalin, the structure of which was es tablished as 6 alpha,7 beta-dibenzoyloxy 8 beta-hydroxy-neo-cleroda-4( 18),13-dien-15,16-olide by spectroscopic means.
