Abstract
The leaves of Piper murrayanum have yielded the (E) and (Z) isomers of droxy-3-(3,7-dimethyl-1-oxo)-2,6-octadienylbenzoic acid, together wit h the known )-4-hydroxy-3-(3,7-dimethyl)-2,6-octadienylbenzoic acid an d the chalcone, methoxy)phenyl-3-(4-hydroxy)phenyl-2-propen-1-one.
