Abstract
The Boltzmann-Matano methodology was used to calculate the nonsteady-s tate chloride diffusion coefficients for blended cement concrete, whic h incorporated fly ash and ground granulated blast furnance slag. It w as found that the chloride diffusion coefficients depend on time and c oncentration/depth and can be expressed as linear functions of the Bol tzmann variable. Furthermore, there was a marked reduction in the chlo ride diffusion coefficients when the slag content and curing time were increased. The optimum replacement was 65% slag.
