The high-resolution infrared emission spectrum of potassium monofluori
de has been recorded with a Fourier transform spectrometer. Over 900 v
ibration-rotation transitions, from the upsilon = 1 --> 0 to the upsil
on = 8 --> 7 vibrational bands, have been assigned. Improved spectrosc
opic constants have been obtained for the KF ground electronic state b
y combining the infrared measurements with the existing microwave data
