Abstract
Studies were performed on intrusion and extrusion of water in porous s ilicas chemically modified with fluoroalkylsilanes. The influence of t he structure of grafted molecules and the mean pore radius of the carr ier on intrusion and extrusion of water was investigated. The advancin g, receding, and equilibrium contact angles were determined for water on the surfaces modified with fluoroalkylsilanes.
